Drilling at Enmore is expected to start within the next three weeks
Okapi plans a 11-hole (1,800m) diamond drilling program
Primary objective is to follow up drilling at the Sunnyside prospect, which returned exceptional results in Okapi’s maiden drilling program completed in September 2021
Mineralisation at Sunnyside remains open at depth and along strike
Okapi will also be focused on drilling the Sherwood prospect to test beneath old workings and follow up on historically intersected high-grade gold mineralisation
Okapi Resources Limited (ASX: OKR, OTC:OKPRF) (Okapi or the Company) is excited to announce that its first diamond drilling program on its 100% owned Enmore Gold Project is expected to start soon.
The planned diamond drilling program consists of 1,800m of diamond drilling and is designed to test extensions of the exceptional results from its previous RC drilling program at the Sunnyside Prospect, where gold mineralisation is present over 400m of strike. The drill program will also be testing the Sherwood prospect on the Bora Fault (Figure 2).
Okapi has secured the services of a highly reputable drilling contractor (Resolution Drilling) who were on site last week with the Company’s geological team preparing for the upcoming drill program. The drilling program is expected to take 2-3 months to complete.
The primary target at Sunnyside remains open at depth and represents a high priority target for the upcoming program. Okapi’s 2021 RC drillhole OSSRC061 was terminated at 174m depth, with the final 3m interval assaying 3m at 8.86 g/t gold, including 1m at 15.15 g/t gold from 172m. The mineralised zone intersected in OSSRC06 is open at depth.
